It’s gotten incredibly chilly over here in Edinburgh. Winter feels like it’s slowly creeping in. As I write this, I’m snuggled under a blanket, with a warm cuppa and a Gilmore Girls rerun on tv.
I’ve just finished a new illustration, that I’m so pleased with (if I may say so). I’m focusing on mood and colour in this image, and trying to capture the magical frost and snow of the mountains. It was greatly inspired by the videos from Jonna Jinton, of the wild mountainous Swedish landscapes. I’ve been following her work for a few years now, and the videos are honestly so calming and absolutely magical! The lighting she captures is *chef’s kiss*.
So, to keep it short and sweet, here’s the illustration I worked on (you might remember the bear from a previous piece I did last year). I’ve also included a sketch, thought it would be an interesting part of the process to share with you!
